After light sanding has been applied to all of the swollen and old painted surfaces, a clean, dry and solid surface has to be obtained.
-
If the surface is not flat, a flat and smooth surface should be obtained with Silkcoat Internal Acrylic Paste in order to apply Marmarito.
-
If the surface to be applied is flattened with gypsum plaster, Silkcoat Izolac should be used on the surface before Marmarito application, Silkcoat Universal Primer should be used on flat but old painted, dirty or synthetic painted surfaces, and Silkcoat Putty Primer should be used on paste applied surfaces.
-
Silkcoat Marmarito is applied in 2 layers saturated with the help of a trowel or spatula.
-
At least 4 hours have to be waited between floors depending on the temperature.
-
After the 2nd coat of application is dried, Marmarito is applied to the material surface with cross and horizontal-vertical dashed strokes with a spatula or trowel for the top coat pattern without being diluted.
-
Afterwards, the excess paint on the surface is stripped without disturbing the patterns and the surface is made smooth.
-
As a final process, the entire surface is lubricated and polished with right-left,up-down and circular movements by applying pressure to the trowel.
-
Different colors can be worked on top of each other.
-
After the application, the tools used should be cleaned immediately with water.
-
Before using Marmarito, it should be mixed until it is completely homogeneous.
-
The ambient and surface temperature should be between +5ºC and +35ºC during the application and product drying period.
-
If application is to be made on very glossy and glassy surfaces, a solid surface has to be created by sanding the surface first in order to ensure further adhesion.
