PINOSAN Yacht Varnish DEFINITION: It is an alkyd-based, transparent, glossy yacht varnish.

FEATURES: Pinosan Yacht Varnish creates an excellent surface with its scratch and abrasion resistant, high hardness and gloss feature.

Resistant to UV rays and chemical effects.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION: It is applied directly or preferably on Pinosan Wood Preservative (980-) on the wooden parts of the vessels and all wooden parts of the buildings such as shutters, paneling, pergola, door and window joinery.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: Surface Preparation: Surfaces should be dry, free from oil, dirt and dust, sanded and dust cleaned if necessary.

Pinosan Wood Preservative (980-) can be applied before Pinosan Yacht Varnish in order to protect against wood pests and/or to color the wood.

Application: At least 3 coats are applied to the surface with a brush or roller.

The first coat should be applied by thinning with 15-20% Dyo Synthetic Thinner in order for the varnish to penetrate the wood pores well, and the 2nd and 3rd coats should be applied without thinning and waiting at least 24 hours between coats.

In the application made with a spray gun, it is thinned with 10-20% Dyo Synthetic Thinner, applied 2 or 3 layers depending on the absorbency of the wood.

Cleaning of brushes and tools after application can be done with Dyo Synthetic Thinner.

APPLICABLE AREA: Depending on the type of wood applied, an area of 12-16 m2 is covered with 1 L on a single layer.
